Hello people, this is the main character I whipped up not to long ago for my game. Got kinda bummed out with multidimensional arrays in Lua so I decided to take some break time and work on some entitys for the game.
The ArtStyle for the game will be simple similiar to banjo kazooie. Its just me creating the game, dont have the time for realistic textures and models...

Hello Alonso, what kind of casual game is it. And will it be 2d or 3d?

In 3D, but a basic 3D without many resources. It would be kind of action and would only use the mouse to move. I want to do in the LUA language, I only know that two engines free using LUA as language. Do you know what engine I can use to develop my casual game?

Alonso, I know that you can use

-the "Lawmaker" game engine, a freaking awsome engine, has damn near everything you can think of, awsome graphics, GUI, pathfinding etc. But the lisence is kinda steep...

-the "ClockWork" game engine. v1.0 has not been released yet. And it also lets you create most if not all of your game without writing code

-the "Leadwerks" engine, before you could only code in C++, now uses Lua to script your entire game. It has an awesome GUI and the lisence is 250$ and the graphic capabilities for this engine are awsome.

-the "Blurred" engine, it has modern graphics capabilities and has a descent visual GUI. The webiste has a vew demo games you can download just like the Baja engine to get an idea of what the engine is capable of.

-the "Capricorn76" engine. A very nice piece of software that is freeware as well, it has a 2d and a 3d GUI and comes with full documentation on how to script your game using Lua

-the "Baja" engine. Free to use, can do mostly everything that Leadwerks and Lawmaker can do as far as graphics. But Baja has no GUI similiar to these engines and is not per entity scriptable like Leadwerks. But it looks like the easiest to use and less headaches involved for the creation of your game.

So my advice is, if you dont go with the baja engine, go with Leadwerks or Clockwork engine, they are the best bang for your buck..
